ABOUT

I recently completed a Doctorate of Education in Agricultural Education through the Doc @ Distance program by Texas Tech and Texas A&M Universities. I have a BBA in management from Texas A&M University and an MS in instructional technology from Mississippi State University.

I have proudly worked in education for 12 years and am currently the Director of Research and AVID at Roscoe Collegiate High School. In my role, I serve as AVID District Director, RSSI Coordinator, Research Director, and Instructional Coach. I also direct non-testing data collection and assist in evaluation research. I have been honored to have a foot in both teaching and administration.

My passions include educational philosophy, systems thinking, mixed methods research, writing, student-directed learning, instructional design, lifelong learning, college and career aspirations, and graphic design. My research passions are in interest development, experiential learning, career choice development, authentic learning, and self-directed learning. I would like to learn more about identity, valuing, transformative education, and growth mindset.
